Audio and VideoDemo Material |
|
Please take some time to enjoy the material we have here to represent the New Monopoly. There are some important things to consider when listening to audio presented on the web claiming to respresent a given group. None of our demos have been added-to (overdubbed) in the studio beyond what you will hear at your engagement. In fact, the majority of these demos were recorded live, on-stage at our engagements, and edited only for length. In other words -- there are no additional parts on these recordings that you will not hear live -- every time. Surprised at how good our material sounds on the web? Come and see us live at an actual performance (not a "rehearsal" or special "viewing" - it's easy to sound good under ideal conditions.) So many groups rent time in a recording studio to record the best version of their offering, often with lush enhancements, only to sound completely different, and nowhere near as full or polished. We are extremely proud of our spot-on arrangements custom written for the New Monopoly, our neat and clean stage presentation, and standless sound (no dangerous speakers sitting up on poles) and computer-controlled Martin Mac lighting system. We consider our visual presentation and sound to be second only to the original artists in production value. When listening to our demo material, you will hear a lot of different voices - we have 8 lead singers including 2 diverse female singers, up to 7 part vocal harmony plus lead (some acapella vocal material supplements our cocktail and dinner sets), and a full horn section to capture that big band, swing, and hot funk, soul, and disco sound. These demos are only a small slice of what the New Monopoly has to offer (we have 600+ songs in our library - material spanning over 70 years.) Please check our Song List for a complete list, and as you browse, feel free to indicate the material you would most enjoy hearing and we'll be sure to perform those for you . Also, don't forget to also check out our What's New page for the most recently added songs. We add songs to keep our offerings above and beyond the top-100 charts from three major music reporting outlets identifying the most requested songs enjoyed at both weddings and corporate parties. Need assistance picking the perfect music for your event? Do not hesitate to email us or contact us through our representatives. We will be happy to work with you so that everything is exactly as you desire... We do not use pre programmed set lists at any of our engagements. Simply put... every situation is unique, even from moment to moment on the same evening. Our strongest asset as a group is our ability to play the right song at the right time, building energy from the beginning of the night to last note, assusing your dance floor is packed to capacity all night long! To play Video files - you will need to have Quicktime 7 installed on your machine. All of the audio for these videos was performed and recorded live, then cut into the medleys that you hear below. The final production gives you the best idea of what the group will actually look like performing at your engagement. We recorded our video over the course of many months (in some cases, since the band has seen so few changes in the past decade, there is footage that is over five years old - left to show longevity, stability, and the fact we use the same musicians night after night unless impossible) which is why there are so many different backgrounds, views, scenes, and outfits (including scenes from a few casual engagements). So many videos that are put out by other groups as promotional material were recorded at one of two studios in the Baltiumore/Washington area, spit and polished to perfection, giving you an unrealistic view of their product, in addition to the already heavily modified and overdubbed audio. We could have elected to do the same, but we wanted you to see us as we are; as close to our actual performing state. Obviously, then, our video, looks quite different. Lastly, the one thing that cannot be represented here is our committment to work closely with your party planner for meticulous event execution. We come to your event ready to make it the most memorable it can be. On staff is a member devoted specifically to interfacing with caterers, party planners, and other vendors so that you can concentrate on enjoying your event without worrying about any behind the scenes details. In other words... a premium black tie group for your black tie event. Please call or email us with any questions, concerns, or availability enquiries. We are a value-added package with everything included - you'll be surprised just we can bring to your special day! Enjoy these videos, and know that they only give you a small slice of the energy we bring to each and every performance. |
